I am surprise to see many people just simply mad about Facebook. Frankly, I'm not familiar with most of the features inside and I need both of my nieces to teach me this and that... Some of my colleagues are so addicted to the games, they claimed that they reach to the stage of insomnia if do not play it at night! It sounds terrible. I'm not sure what's so great about the games or I'm very dummy on most of the pc games, always lose because I just can't handle it well, it's just too technical, too difficult for me! Anyway, I find I'm more interested to the peoplesearch and I have successfully got the old classmates & schoolmates, we keep in touch now. This is what I like some of the social network webs which provide this special feature. Although we have lost contact to our old friends, there's still chances to look for them.

But I feel that it's some sort of flaw in it as we must have at least a minimum kind of contact for example the email address of the person that I want to look for. So this is not easy especially when it's a long lost friend. If searching by names is not practical too if a friend's name is one of very common so you will have a few thousands of them bearing the same name! Besides, they might not using their real name in the web too. So I hope the web guys understand this and develop something more exciting to us who like to finding someone online from time to time. Actually I have a mini-project together with my best pal in primary school, which is get together the super-10 (nickname of our group of girls) The ten girls then, now mostly mothers of a number of children. I'm all excited to wait for the day to meet the other 9 members again!

Maxis, Why Like That One?...

There's always problems and trouble around us but the point is how we gonna solve it and most importantly is that the thing get done at the end plus try to avoid the same old doggy silly trouble to the people, agree? I'm addressing this because my husband's recent cell phone's bill is really sucks & it's due to two group of people. 1) the sms syndicate (I don't know what they called) who simply send the vulgar & offensive stuffs & 2) the stupid mobile service provider ~ Maxis, all those sms (over 100) are billed & it's RM1/each. This is funny, isn't it?

Went to complain the issue@Maxis Centre, Gardens ~ I tell you, twice ok? They also cannot give a proper solution. 1st time, a lady~ said she has stopped them from sending but still received after that. 2nd time, a guy~ must pay the bill in full, asked my hubby to dial 103 to get the info of that particular co., go there & get refund on his own. This is STUPID!!! How on earth does this person come out with this thought?... No hope to Maxis Centre@Gardens. Went to Maxis Centre@KLCC. Ok that guy seems so understandable & solved it the way every customer wants, pay the bill minus the spam sms. He said the investigation will be done & expect a call from them over a few days to verify the issue. Alright, things seems settled & done. Suddenly, received an sms saying that still owe them RM1xx.00. Report again at Maxis Centre@Tmn Tun. A guys called the next day to tell that it's my hubby's fault & he must get it paid! What the heck! Why's it's our fault? We didn't subscribe those silly spam sms... Hey, Maxis, you are soooo stupid! Very simply, if you still insist us to pay, we'll just switch to other service provider. I never imagine Maxis people are so STUPID!

p/s: most customer service staffs are serving people without a smile & no greeting. I must admit that the people working at Immigration Office are far better than them.

Still Fresh In My Mind

It's still very fresh in my memory that incident happened although I was just about 4 years old then. My mother used to bring me to the nearby groceries in the evening before dinner. Because this owner of the groceries is an old friend of my mom so they would have some women talks a bit before we back home. That was one evening, I was having a pack of snacks near the door so I was watching the cars passing-by out there. Suddenly, a car was moving extremely fast but it was blocked by a bike so the car had to stopped immediately. The driver was so mad and he pull out a baseball bat, he punched it at the biker's head straightaway. Well, most people believe the driver must be intoxicated. The biker was seriously injured and one Good Samaritan helped out. I'm not sure about whether or not the biker brought the case to the legal office, But if he is living in Texas or places around, he should have looked for car accident attorney Austin and explained the whole story in details. My Big Little Man

I took some time get XJ to hold his milk bottle on his own. It's not that I didn't teach him earlier. Actually he managed to do that as early as 4 months plus. I guess he is belong to "my husband category" that means "LAZY" precisely! So I'm a bit worry he grows up to be a Lazy Monster... waiting his mama to sort out things for him?! No, I love my kid to be independent but the more I push towards something, it's like more difficult to achieve. As parents, we must understand when to give a duly positive pressure and when to "release" so that the kids will just accept/adapt to it accordingly with open heart. That's what I think.

So now, XJ loves to hold his milk bottle without mama carrying him on my lap because he wants to have milk while watching his favorite Mickey Mouse Club House & Friends!

Drive Without A License

This driver has no valid driving license!

Do you have a "driving-baby" at home? My boy loves to imitate what we normally do, the most common few are cough with hand covered the mouth, wave hands, snap fingers, etc. Anyway, this is very normal among kids so we parents must be always watched out ourselves for not doing something unpleasant fearing the little ones will follow! At night, my hubby loves to play the racing games. My boy getting more interested recently or I'll say that both my boys are hooked on it! XJ likes playing with papa's steering by turning left & right. Sometimes quite rough 'til papa feels a little heartache because the entire steering set + paddle costs a few hundreds. He always wanted to climb up the chair and turn. Papa really surrendered & have to get XJ a steering toy set. For your information, XJ still prefer papa's one!

This steering is belongs to XJ. It's quite interesting too with different sounds and flashing but it never got him to sit & play for more than 10 minutes!

That's when XJ was 7 months old during CNY, the "cool fever" didn't cool him down

I'm not scared of dark or pain and I'm not worry for being alone nor terrific heavy workloads... What's mattered me the most is when time the little guy has fever. That's the most difficult thing to handle! I'm lucky that he is a healthy little guy and quite tough too. So far he had fever once touched about 38.6-38.8 degree at the highest.(touch woodx10) That was during the 6th day of CNY. (actually started a day before but the fever was within 37 degree, went to Assunta Hospital but the medicine were not effective) The Pead clinic where XJ has his routine vaccinations was still closed for holiday and same to other Pead clinics. Without further delay, we brought him to see doc at Pantai Medical Center, Bangsar at the emergency ('coz it's late night). Good was he needn't admit to hospital. He was still very bouncy like usual and smiled to the doc. But the drama started when we got back home. He was extremely cranky, threw tantrum 100x more than usual :-( Cried 'til he threw out the milk he drank earlier and cried some more... that means the medicine which mixed with milk also came out from the stomach, really headache and needed to clean up the mess too... You know the CNY mood was suddenly all spoilt and I just wanted my little baby to get well soon.

He Grows Up Fast...

Now I'm totally agreed with the people who told me once that "you just gotta enjoy when your son is still a baby..." for numerous reasons. We had his one year old birthday celebration early last month but he seems grown up a lot more faster after that both mentally and physically! We couldn't "control" him much now because he tends to be very firm on his "decision". For example, he wanted to hold the Lipton Lemon Green Tea plastic bottle when I took it out from the fridge, just prepared to pour into my mouth, he saw it & shouted non-stop... He wanted to touch & hold the bottle (he loves to touch cold things) which means he will grab that for quite some while & won't let me drink. I never let this little guy do whatever he likes or he may think whatever he does are just alright next time. But when I don't give him, he will shout 'til I lost my patient and surrender finally... Kids have their own mind so early, is that good (their brain is on duty any second) or bad (to the parents who could hardly tame them)???

I missed his "salivating" kisses. This one taken during Mother's Day in May earlier. He's been very good boy to kiss me whenever I asked for, he will never turn down my request. It's a different story now!

Learned From The Past

I remembered my mom said that some the famous actors and actresses of the past are very "fragile" in life. Although they made good fame and earned a lot, they ended up in dire street because unable to pay for the huge debts in gambling or some even worse as the committed suicide as a result of the failure in relationship! That's actually very silly! I thought people in the past have quality in everything but I never understand why they would have led their life in such pitiful! Perhaps people today learned from the past mistakes so they tend to invest on something which is of high value for example bullion. This is for assurance especially during the later part of our life I mean when we are retired finally. The little investment during the young days are of importance then. Little Appreciation

I guess we all like to be appreciated for our efforts put forth no matter it's a huge one like overcoming the hardships faced by a company or a trivial one like sorting out the house chores everyday. Or sometimes we do a particular things which is not within our responsibility but we just think it's better to ease the burden of the other... Ok, a genuine one will not ask for a thing in return but we do love to know or listen (at least) some nice words directly from the mouth of the person involved to show that he or she appreciated what other has done for. Or it's actually a form of respect. Unfortunately, most people in this century are very hesitate to do so. I'm not sure why or is it because too much of blogging, FB-ing, tweet-ing ... etc and people less talking 'til don't know what to say?... Be caution ok? If you're one of them, please spare a while to think all over again!

This small cake is specially given to the moms (on Mother's Day in May earlier) from the lady boss of the restaurant we frequent for weekend dinner to show their appreciation on us always make a comeback. We were surprised & delighted + we continue to go back to the same place! Can you see the magic in it?

Oh this one is precious because this was the first and the only pic I managed to snap when I finally saw the pearly white erupted from the stubborn gum of my little monster about 1 month plus ago! He never like to let me touch his lips but I always love to disturb him. So one day, I saw something I longed for were finally there and I used my one hand to carry the camera while the other hand to do that as shown in the pic. You can see the little guy's facial expression, he was so reluctant... and he wanted to bite me too!

I think it's very important to witness a kid's growth and developments or you may be regretted if you've missed it and you find he or she is grown up in a blink of eye. My ex-coll rang me the other day to chat about family affair and kids stuff. She said that she felt guilty for not taking care of her own kid (with her personal reasons) eventhough she works at home. Well, my opinion offered to her is the quantity of time is not as vital as the quality time spent with the little one. And we must accomplish our responsibility at the best of us at time and stay focus because the opportunity may just passed through, that's a waste.

It was like just last night I cuddle him, a small baby but he is a little destroyer today!

And my greatest investment will be bring-up my little boy. The good thing when those kids' birthdate are very close is that I'll search for their gifts in one shot. I have 5 nieces + nephews (soon to be 6 coz a new addition of nephew will join the list). Their birthday are all fall in the month of July & August including my little monster & the my newest soon to be born nephew! So do you know it's actually stressful to choose and buy gifts to the little friends here? It's not as easy as you think or you think any toys will satisfy them? Surely not! You have to know what cartoon characters they like that is the basic hint and think of the necessary items according to their ages is another important aspect. Well I almost get the mission done pretty late this time because I hardly have time to shop relaxingly with the hyper-active baby who always climbing out of the stroller!

Ok still relate to the earlier topic, I never feel interested or excited when I see people queued at the marked down items (just anything from apparels, books, household items to food!) LAST TIME but I do not hesitate to join the crowd now! I enjoy buying things during sales & the best part is when I knowing how much I've save compared to buying during off sales. Of course the more the happier!

To shop for groceries after work is what I usually do now coz it's almost impossible if the little monster is tagging around. After get it done@Jusco, MV last week (J CARD privilege sales) & wanted to get some buns too so I approached to Bread Talk. Tell you, I'll feel it's like the leftover last time but those feeling already gone in me! In fact, I was so excited when I looked at the little signboard at their entrance ~ Happy Hour ~ 4 for RM10 ( which means RM2.50 each) & you know most of the buns there are cost higher than that. So I picked 4 of which I used to eat included of 2 muffins. So I kept it in the fridge & reheat it in the microwave oven in the next morning + a cup of instant coffee as quick breakfast before I left for office.

P/S: If any Bread Talk people read this, as for hygiene aspect, I think it's better to cover all the buns on the rack or get it all packed 'coz there are always flies around.

Biggest Change...

I guess the BIGGEST change in myself after married is that I tend to save from my monthly expenses. I mean I'll try to buy less for sure (but I do pamper myself too in some circumstances, hehehe...) And I'll opt for the cheaper but quality still ok brand for some household items. I think save a little here and there it means something at the end. I rather spend more on the little monster. You know all those stuffs like diapers, milk & vaccinations cost quite a BIG sum. Bringing up a kid is expensive nowadays...

This post is totally my frustration over two people who happen to be they have some "close relationship" with us. Actually my hubby's side people... These kiasu people only think of their own benefits, comfort, convenience... & never ever considering at others' feeling. I'm wondering why there have such people who can survive on the earth. They asked hubby to drive them to the hospital for comprehensive body checking in the morning but it's just too inconvenient to do that:~ 1) have to go to the house in early morning & reach hospital at a specified time 2) Their house & our house are quite far apart! Why don't they ask the stupid younger son who stay with them to drive them to the hospital. Or they can simply call a cab which is easy. It's just body checking, they can walk & no problem on mobility... such a small matter they turned out mad at us for not driving them. Ok that's it, thinking further will just make me sick!

I'm actually a fruits mania I shall call myself because I love eating most of the fruits since small girl. I think this is most probably because we were "trained" to eat fruits by parents after dinner every night when we were still small kids. So both my parents are fruits lover too! But I have a slight phobia on durian because there was one incident where I developed into fever after I ate too much of it I guess... So it's time for me to introduce fruits to my baby now. First I started with kiwi because it's soft so it's easier for him. I chose Zepri Gold which is golden yellow color inside and it tastes much sweeter than the original green one. You know little XJ blinks his eyes like telling me it's sour! Probably because it's the first time he is exposed to this citrus fruit and give some weird feeling for him. But when I let him try apple which is absolutely sweet, he still blinks his eyes?!...

Oh it's a rainy morning, I can smell he rain when I woke up from the bed just now. I thought I want to sleep a bit later but I forced myself to get up because I gotta sort out some assignments before its due date as I've wasted some weeks before. My Favorite Game Show

I love watching The Gladiators so much, it's my favorite game show. I love them for being real, I mean all the participants & Gladiators themselves never "pretend". They fight with their best stamina and energy. Both men & women, their fitness is really tested in order to get themselves to the next hurdle. In comparison, I prefer Gladiator UK than Gladiator US. There's no apparent reason but I just love the UK more... The muscular Atlas & Spartan are too gorgeous! The most difficult section I guess would be the Eliminator and yet it's the most exciting part! Do you guys like watching it too? Who are the Gladiator(s) you love?

I'll usually love to flip the Chinese paper at the pantry after lunch when there's still some time left. This news is reported in a rather small column but the content really gave me a shock! A man claimed that he had eaten a fried chicken with CHICKEN SHITS! OMG! Can you imagine that?! Yuck... How can the chicken shit got into the fried chicken if it wasn't the "work" of some really bad staffs who had done that purposely? Any excuses of that particular fast food for mal-handling shouldn't be accepted because that's the shits & how can the shits not being separated from the chicken meat... It was reported that the man bought from a well known fast food chain and I'm still thinking which one. But thinking of fried chicken the name comes out from my mind almost spontaneously. I'm not sure the name is revealed in others daily ...

Yeah looking at our Wedding Anniversary ticker only I realize that the 3rd anniversary is approaching... It's getting very near... It's next month or in less than a month time! Previously, we celebrated this occasion at a comfy restaurant but I'm still considering whether or not we should go out to celebrate it. Perhaps we just order some food and stay at home? Because this year we are celebrating it with our precious baby. Since he is still small, 4 months old in November'09 and we are still worry about the flu. No place is safer than our own house! But then this is the very first time we celebrate it with our baby, if just stay at home is NO FUN at all. So I'm still considering and see how it goes...

Going Magical World Of Disney!

Going back to my parents' place is nice because it's like the gathering of my siblings and we have thousand topics to chat. How about the kids? The older one prefer reading story books whereas the younger one will definitely catch the cartoon channels. My niece is the loyal fan of Mickey Mouse and Friends. She loves Mickey so much. This reminds me that I actually love Mickey too very much during my childhood. I was then always wish to go Disneyland with my parents but we didn't make it. Now I'm a mother myself and I can foresee how much a kid love the play land if too much exposure to the Disney cartoons.

Besides the kids having fun at the theme park to meet their favorite characters, we adults have much to do too. We can visit Epcot Food and Wine Festival which is currently running at the Walt Disney World Resort’s Epcot theme park. Food lover like me sure have some good time there. Yeah there are a lot I didn't update about my pregnancy, my labour and my baby but these are all done in my other blog and you may hop over there to read if you love to. Since I started my own domain, I guess I have been leaving this blog stagnant for such a long time and to get back my readers here is really not an easy job though... Here's my Baby XJ, he has just reached 2 months old 2 days ago. But I find he looks much mature than his actual age, agree?... He is a playful boy, he smiles at us when we "chat" with him. He doesn't like to staying alone in the bouncer, sure he will shout for companion. His smile is melting our heart but sometimes he is not very "co-operative" and go cranky when he is hungry + very sleepy then he will cry out loudly!... Finally we get the rains today and yesterday! It was like waiting for a big festive season to come because we have been living in the hot humid weather for months without a drop of rain, can you imagine that? It's so refreshing to see the garden is all wet again. I guess the people in Arizona is yelling now for the extremely hot weather, as hot as 80 degree! Anyway, those who would like to stay permanently there, I guess it's better to study more on the landscaping for Arizona to gain more knowledge on their geographical information. Having known that the hot weather there, do you still interested to have further study on landscaping for Arizona?

I don't know where and how to start about this...basically is regarding the communication between myself and hubby. Sometimes I found that I do not know how to talk to him and I do not understand why? It's sort of "so near yet so far" kind of feeling... It's not that we don't have constant communications and that's why I'm heart broke as he seems don't understand me whenever the argument started. Is it because men's thinking prone to be square? Sorry guys I have to say this... Why can't men talk in a more "logic" way and all sort of stupid talks threw in. I know everything we do is for the good of our baby but why can't you say something in a nicer tone when problem arises (well, it's actually some very minor issues). That's why I'm hurt. He can't understand and said why I look so depressed...Oh God, I tried not to fight so that I kept it in my heart and my face of course appears to be rather angry, I'm a human afterall... This will repeat next time although it's ended now, I'm lost somehow to look for a total resolution on this...

Yeah I guess many of you agree with me that because of the aggressive spreading of H1NI, we rather stay at home more often than going to the places with a lot of people. But having myself "confined" at home so long make me feeling so boring and blue, I'm thinking when can I have a family vacation in a long holiday? I want to bring my baby out of the house and smell the nature?...

Yeah I'm a bit headache to think whether or not I want to continue updating my blog here after "retiring" for about 9 months. This is all because I thought I will just concentrate on my other blog with my own domain but if I stop here, all my works done previously seems like wasted. Thank you so much buddies for all your wishes in the previous post! Wanna know how and where we celebrated this special day? Actually no grand celebration. Since we both enjoyed good food, we decided to dine at a comfy restaurant and chat with a cuppa. This time we thought going to try food at The Apartment@KLCC but that was raining and we were afraid to be caught in the jam. Therefore, we changed our initial plan to go Tony Romas@Gardens (MidValley).

I had Marinated Grill Chicken, hubby ordered Roasted Garlic Chicken with Rosemary. The food are alright but it's quite salty which I don't like. Their mashed potatoes and Bread with Garlic Cheese (starter) are both excellent! Anyway, we enjoyed the night!

It's the most exciting battle between Massa and Hamilton in the final race in Brazilian GP. Since Massa successfully earned himself pole position, he still has the opportunity for the champion. The plus point is that Brazil is his hometown and he has a lot of his home-grown fans! Hubby and I are hoping to see Massa win but my brother prefers Hamilton to win. I guess most people around me love seeing Hamilton to win. For me, both Hamilton and Massa are both talented drivers. They have their strength and weakness eg. Massa can't drive well in the rainny day/wet condition whereas Hamilton sometimes driving in a very excited manner hence mistake couldn't be avoided. I love seeing Massa wins if you ask me to choose one of them because Massa is a real aggressive driver likewise M. Schumacher (only the aggresiveness) although in the most difficult situation. This is a very important value for a Champion in my opinion. So who do you like to see to become the Champion of 2008?

Honestly, I'm not very fancy for going shopping in every weekend. Sometimes I feel it's boring and I rather stay at home, watch DVDs with my hubby in the chilled room. Or, I love going for outing if we have settled the house chores earlier. Sunrise, Mon't Kiara is one of the places me and hubby like to hang out to. Although there's not many attraction, I love there being not crowded and shop at the flee market there. Usually we have a cuppa at one of the cafes or take a meal at McD. Recently, there have built two fish ponds. Those Koi fishes swimming happily. During the hot day, I feel like wanted to jump into the pond and swimming with the fishes!

The last time I went to Putrajaya was quite some years ago. My elder niece was just a chubby toddler during that time but she is a Standard two pupil now and her height is about my shoulder! Couple of weeks ago hubby asked me to go Putrajaya again, I said yes without much thought although it was a sunny day... It was so terribly HOT!

There was not much changed. What I dislike there is the facilities are not well maintained. The lake here look beautiful but I'm wondering why it was so smelly when we get near and walked on the path beside. Due to the hot weather, we canceled our initial planning to go for cycling. Just explore the garden and dine at the chilled food court before going home.

Some shopping complexes are organizing some Halloween activities for the kids. Hubby and I went to 1U last week and we saw some lovely pumkins placed under the man-made bushes. There are some stalls selling different candies too. A lot of kids seems waiting for something. So I was curious and get nearer to the place.

Actually, there was a contest going-on. The kids were waiting it to start. The contest is to see who can collect the most candies placed around the bushes area. The kid participants were given a pumkin container and they were running around to collect without the aid of their parents. If any parents found helping their kids then it'll be disqualified. How I wish I'm qualified to take part!

There won't be a heavy breakfast for me because it will make me lazy and uncomfortable sitting in front of the PC. On the other hand, I can't prepare a proper breakfast like soup noodle, spaghetti or porridge. I'm a lousy cook honestly. I would like to take something simple yet easy to prepare in the morning (the rush hour). So I will have a bowl of Quaker oatmeal. I find this is the simplest breakfast. Usually I go for a plain oatmeal but I found I have some bananas in the kitchen so I add-on some pieces into it, it amazingly tastes GOOD! Sometimes, it's simple food but it can delicious too.

I was again not in mood to blog these few days not because I'm lazy but my mood very much affected by the failure of my two heroes... One being my tennis God ~ Rafa. Lose in games is not a big deal but he shouldn't be defeated by someone like Gilles Simon! Rafa is much a versatile player than Simon but anyway, it's the fact which cannot be changed. So Murray is lifting the trophy in Madrid. Secondly, poor Massa in a super slow Ferrari! Even Kimi need to gave way for him to pass-over. With such condition, he seems no hope to be crowned the Champion this season!

My Favorite Bible Story

In the earlier entry, I have mentioned that I used to go Sunday School when I was a kid. I enjoyed going there because I love the story telling session the most besides other activities. My teacher, Ms. Carol would pick a story and read to us. She explained the value and lesson we learned each time at the end of the story. She always took it to the extra miles where she tried to relate the story to our real life and asked us to Find out more if we can. As a kid at merely 4 years old that time, I didn't able to appreciate much then but I simply love listening to the stories as any other kids do!

When I grow older, I started to Find out more and understand most of the values of the stories. In my mind, "The Story of Noah and The Greatest Flood" is one of my favorite Bible Stories. Noah is a very good man so that God loves him. When God knew that many people doing bad on this earth, God wanted to get rid of them. In His effort to save Noah and family, God told Noah to build a huge ark and wanted him to take his family and two of every kind of animals onboard. It started to rain for 40 days and flooded more than 150 days! The flood wipe away the bad while Noah and family and animals floated on the flood. They touched down the land again when water dried up later. God promised Noah that there would not be a flood again to destroy the earth and God put a beautiful rainbow on the sky as a reminder of the promise. So the story teaches us people with good deed will get what they deserved whereas the bad one will not be sharing the same. This is what we call fairness in life.

Well, it's kind of sad to read such news. Did you read the one where the thieves tried to bomb the Cash Deposit machine? Since the self-made bomb is not strong enough, the metal box containing cash money is remain intact so that their "business" wasn't successful! All I want to say is why these people are brave enough to do this but don't have the guts to think of a better way to make money? Everyone needs money but there's NO SHORTCUT to it except you are brilliant in making fast money in a LEGAL way!

When I was a little kid, I used to go Sunday School, a church school nearby my parents' house. My parents were working, my brothers were schooling and I had not reached to the age to enter kindergarten. He leads me in right paths for his name's sake.Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff - they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I shall dwell in the house of the Lord my whole life long.]

I was watching F1 with hubby yesterday. That was the last three circuit in Japanese Grand Prix where Hamilton couldn't earn himself a point and some mistakes here & there by Massa. Anyway, the gap now between Hamilton and Massa is a mere 5 points. Massa had a good start but honestly, I don't really understand inwhat kind of situation who and who should be penalized although I have been watching F1 for years. All I want is just to enjoy the fast and furious car racing in this luxurious sports... Hamilton was unhappy because Massa was only imposed to serve the drive-through penalty for causing him to spin at the start of the race which now giving more advantageous to Massa to catch up for two more races to fight for the Championship. I wish Massa can do well with flawless drive in both coming circuits!

Where Have Nice Food Gone?...

Oh yeah, it's been a while I didn't update this blog! Nothing, it's just a bit of laziness bugging me somehow. I found myself and hubby always go to the same old place for breakfast during the weekend and that's quite boring. We are not looking for some special food but those typical Chinese food like prawn noodle, curry noodle, wanton noodle, asam laksa etc. It's hardly find and if we found it, it's not nice, not delicious. It doesn't have the feel of aroma! In short, it's difficult to have a nice bowl of these kind of food now!

Is it due to the very fact that Chinese tend not to "inherit" the secret recipe to the next generation? Tell you, those selling in the cafe places are bad and they sell it very expensive. I know I should go to hawker stalls for a delicious one but I just couldn't find one satisfying my taste. The asam laksa selling at Kluang Station is really bad (tasteless) and you know the price is RM8.90!!!

Can anyone tell me where can you get a nice bowl of prawn mee? I haven't eat that for many years and I'm craving for it very much now...

Banzai DVD Games

Hello people, do you love playing DVD games? Do you love sushi? You must be thinking what's the relationship between playing DVD games and sushi. I don't want you to drag your head further, let me tell you straight forward here that Screenlife Games has launched a very funny game which is named after a hit TV show, Banzai. During the weekend, both hubby and I did thorough cleaning and tidying for the entire house. I love my house to be spacious so that I like to just throw away those stuffs which I think it's unnecessary for us. I'm glad that hubby is like me, I mean he too doesn't like to keep load of stuffs forever in the house. So whenever I ask him to join me cleaning up our house for a more spacious and comfortable home, he is excited and very willing to lend his helping hands.

Although it was quite tiring, we were happy to see the result after the cleaning. It's was a bit surprising too because there were a few big packs of rubbish. What I mean is that it doesn't seem like we have many rubbish when look at our house as we always maintain it to be "rubbish free". I guess it's better to clean up earlier as I don't want to wait until Chinese New Year, there'll be many stuffs need to be sorted out during that time. Shopping for CNY already takes my time! After a tiring work out in cleaning, we had something to stuff ourselves for the break time. You see, I normally prepare some healthy snacks (except coffee but take one-two a day still consider healthy, hehehe...) in the kitchen. And hubby is like a "rat", he likes to search for snacks in the midnight! So lets see part of my snack corner.

Catching Up With US Open

Yeah, I like today because I can catch those tennis matches without people disturbing me! Hubby went out to work so that I watch it with all the shouts and scolding (Oh, I did that too even hubby is at home! But I feel I'm totally free if I'm watching alone!) I didn't see FedEx play but I manage to catch a later one playing between A-Rod and Gulbis. After some years, A-Rod game is still the same ie. big serve, minimum running and many "in front of net" play. His skill is stagnant while the opponent is not bad. A-Rod wins is not because he is great but he wins from his experience. May want to catch some women games but I think I'm gonna sleep for a while first! Ciao people!!!

Boring Of The Same Old Recipes?

My favourite dish serving for my dinner is seafood especially fish. Since we were small kids, my mum used to cook at least one seafood dish for us. Last time we only understood that seafood can provide a good source of protein and iodine which is important for our general health. But for now, we aware that the special element found in seafood called DHA is essential for our body even for the small baby. Although it's a very good food for health, we must practice to eat that moderately because consuming too much of seafood will increase the level of cholesterol. So, we stream down to eating more on fishes now.

Mum will always look for different recipes through cook books. I'm not a good cook but I love to searching for some creative cooking online and tell my mum to follow that. I think we are very lucky to have my mum as the chef of the family because she is brave enough to take the challenges in preparing a new dish eventhough that's not a simple one. My Durian Story

I think most Malaysian love eating Durian a.k.a The King of Fruits unlike some foreigners who are not get used to the strong smell will hate it. But I find that many Westerners now are brave enough to try when they come visiting our country. During the time when I was a small girl, I love to eat Durian very much just like my parents and my eldest brother. We used to take Durian for dinner instead of the usual rice & dishes. There was one time, I guess I over-ate Durian and my body was heaty like boiling in the middle of night. When wake up the other day in the morning, I was having fever!

It's still very fresh in my mind 'til now. That's the horrow phobia...and I stopped eating Durian from then. Many many years later, I have the craving for it about 2 weeks ago. And it's a co-incidence that my parents bought some Durians and asked us to eat together. I won't repeat the same silly mistake like before, I took just a little bit & it's great! The taste I like is that with bittersweet a bit like alcohol. Lesson to my readers: Don't over-eat the food you love very much, it may go to the adverse effect and you may stop eating it for years!

I'm wondering whether this is same at your place?... Ok, I'm talking about the size of the fried chicken from KFC. One evening, my hubby bought a set of KFC as he was craving for it since we didn't eat that for so long already. We happily brought in the packet and handed it to me (I waited him at home) and he went into the washroom to wash legs and hands before started to eat. When I opened it, to my surprise...the drumstick and the chicken breast are very small! It just couldn't satisfy hubby's craving and I'm sure it can't stuff your stomach if you're in real hungry!

Control In Spending

From young age, we were taught by parents not to over spend with our pocket money given weekly. They also explained to us the importance of money in living for the future especially when we are settled down. So I would make sure to spend carefully only on the necessary while the balance of money would put into my piggy bank. But it doesn't mean that I can't ask for my favourite toys, games and story books. My parents would buy for me as and when they felt it's time. I'm glad the way they arranged the expenses on kids and family as a whole. If one is not good at planning for a family of six, it's most probably go into bad debt thus seeking for Debt consolidation and other form of Debt relief is required.

Since working, I can enjoy buying whatever I like with my own earning. But my rules is that I must clear the balance showing in the credit card statement every month because the accumulated Credit card debt will send one to declare Bankruptcy. I was happy when checking the result through Yahoo sport about Rafa has defeated Kiefer in the final yesterday morning. Although I knew the result, I watched the match where Astro showing repeat yesterday night. Playing with Kiefer is much easier than playing with Murray in Semi-final. Rafa won 6-3, 6-2 in a rather relax mood. Rafa is really shining in 2008 whereby he has overcome the obstacle in other surface of court, he is not only the king of clay! I think his greatest & happiest moment is to win against FedEx on grasscourt (which is FedEd most confidence & powerful venue) in Wimbledon last month. And now the gap of the ATP ranking is a mere 300 points (FedEx:6605 , Rafa:6305) which means the road for Rafa being crowned No.1 is very near indeed. I hope there are more success ahead for Rafa!

The sales is on now 'til 1st of September'08 at most of the major shopping complexes. I have bought quite some own stuffs during the sales which means I have spent some money in the mid of July. A day before the tournament is started, the media tried to put on the headline saying FedEx make a return. It's kind of pressure to the player who's going downhill, I guess. True enough, FedEx is defeated by Frenchman Gilles Simon who is ranked much lower than him! It's rare for FedEx to loss in the first round. I think he must be still haunted by the nightmare where he loss at his most favourite grass court in Wimbledon. It may be rather difficult for him to regain the confidence. Meanwhile, Boris Becker ( former champ) has already crowned Rafa as World #1 after analyzing the matches recently between FedEx & Rafa. There's one point I'm totally agreed with Boris Becker which is FedEx's skill is still remain there but the fact is that Rafa has improved a lot obviously! Disturbance...

Actually I'm glad and love the place for where I'm staying now for its quietness and not so packed with residents at this hilly housing area. But there are a couple of issues I just can't stop complaining. Why on earth the people is like this? I guess I have mentioned this long time ago but I think I'll keep updating whenever I see they have something new at their "community".

This green piece of land is initially planned to develop for a few bangalows according to the management office. (As the Developer is the same for all the projects/properties on this hill) Since the economy is so bad, the feedback is poor and the construction has been stopped for about 1 year plus. Thus, the Indon workers stay at the construction site in their "self -built houses". Their wood houses keep increasing and people they also growing. From a few guys there last time, I can see some women and some small children. They "cultivate" the land in planting papaya and sweet potatoes. At night, their houses are light-on! They have big tank of water to use some more...Why these illegal Indons can stay here as if they own the land and you think they need to pay for the electricity bill and water bill?...Sure no need right? So, they may not worry for any price increase in electricity! They can stay they peacefully without being disturbed by the police (just abt 2km away).

Hubby and I usually go for a jog at this slope. That's a very good one for climbing the slope and jogging. But, those Indons (in red circle) are so stupid sitting there to watch people exercising as part of the pastime recently. You know, they have nothing better to do. I saw them sitting there when we started to jog and when we came back after an hour plus, they were still there. What I hate the most was they made some irritating noise there as they thought they were watching performance shows. That's why I'll go for indoor exercise if hubby doesn't accompany me for a jog.

p/s: I'm complaining the particular Indon staying illegally there & no offenses to my Indonesia buddies and readers!

Football Updates

Besides watching tennis matches and F1 races on TV, we also love checking out other sports update at sport channels. If we follow all the live matches, I think we'll go crazy because watching tennis Grand Slam live alone has already spent a quarter of my day. That was a particular Sunday in a couple of weeks ago, hubby and I had lunch at a restaurant nearby. This restaurant is not special but what we like is they have more variety of food and prices are reasonable too. I have mentioned this restaurant in my earlier post before. There are no deco and the woman boss there is extremely stingy. Tell you, she'll ask her staffs to off the air-con if there are lesser customers. Can you believe it? From the pix, can you see there's a number "3" WRITTEN on the table? I'm totally salute to her... she seems want to save money for buying even a number tag for the table!

Today when chatting with hubby after dinner, we mentioned about some of our old friends and old classmates. So we started to talk about those funny encounters during our school days. We still meet and seeing some of them but we do not keep in touch with so many of them. I guess this could be the fact of life somehow. We leading to different path of lifestyle so it's kind of difficult to going out together like before. Many of our friends are still single and going nightspots 'til early morning whereas we both prefer some rather slow pace of lifestyle, a quality one in other words. It was a very beautiful shower in the morning without any thunderstorm. It's so wonderful sleeping under the blanket with sweet dreams some more!...Especially when there's running nose, I'm very tired and lazy to get up from the bed. Why it's not Saturday today!!! I still want to catch up with some sleeps & don't wanna get up to brush teeth, get dressed and make-up. Agrrrr...I need coffee, coffee...please help! Hope things going smooth later & don't wanna mess up with everything. And it seems the clock showing about 1pm to me, so fast huh? Alright, no more running nose. Must eat a bit more since it's so hungry after so much sneezing. Only those with sensitive nose will understand this I guess...

It's Still In Progress...

It's been quite some time both hubby and I haven't go for a swim at the swimming pool in our condo. It's nothing to do with laziness but it has been closed for more than three months, I guess. So when I went to the management office to pay for the service fees a couple of weeks ago, I asked what is actually happened to the swimming pool? The building manager said that there'll be a minor re-construction to the pool since there's a minor defect at a particular corner leading the pool started to sink! Is that so serious?...If it's for safety purpose, everyone is agree for the re-construction undoubtedly. But since it's a minor project, why it's still sitting there so long without any works done (it seems)? I guess all constructions in this country no matter a huge or minor one are the same in terms of taking ages to complete.

I'm Excited For Sci-Fi Story

Since young age, I enjoyed reading and watching many sci-fi stories and movies. Some people think those are far from reality and its only value is a myth playing in our imagination at most. I agree to the extent that most of them appear to us as a myth at the end of the day but I love the exposure of some very interesting and creative stories which open up our mind to think the possibilities of it happens in real life one day. Despite that, I'll usually start pressing my head imagining myself in a scene shown in the movie and thinking what am I gonna do if I were the particular character. The movies bring me such imagination are Journey To The Center Of The Earth, The Langolias and The Island.

I guess I'll soon be fascinated by another one by just listening to the podcast of the Leviathan Chronicles's first episode. The plot is about a young genetic scientist , Macallan Orsel has discovered the secret of immortality which claimed to be a reality. Unfortunately, it's been misused by some irresponsible one for power, control and supremacy. Macallan has to learn the key hidden in her DNA while searching another secret kept for over thousand years under the ocean for the benefit of all mankinds. I guess the character of Jason Sterling could move the story into a more exciting level as his mission is to bring the immortals down. I Like This Oldie Singer

If you have following my blog all these while, you'll know that I love listening to Alternative Rock/Slow Rock most of the time. Those bands/singers who always on my playing list would be U2, Sting, David Bowie & Cranberries. Their songs are so powerful especially U2. But, I'll listening to some other songs like Classical, Vocal, Folk Songs, Jazz. (Jazz/Blues is my least favourite usually because their rhythm is too slow which will bring me into some unhappy memories...)

To my surprise, I'm quite addicted to a Chinese pop songs which is a duet by an Oldie singer, Fei Yue Ching and the sensation singer, Jay Chow. If this is a Jay Chow's song, I won't bother to listen at all because I am not a fan to all the Taiwanese & Hong Kong young singers as I don't catch what are they singing & there are really meaningless in the lyrics. Talking about Fei Yue Ching, he is my mom's fav singer too. He sung theme songs for many Taiwanese drama series in early and late 80s. I like this one (deducted the part of Jay Chow).
